The Artist Unmasked

I'm Jobeth Loraine, a Texas-based SFX artist bringing creative visions to life in film and TV with expert makeup and prosthetics.

01

Experience

I studied a diverse range of subjects at community college, including manufacturing, robotics, photography, and criminal justice.

My experience as a scare actor at San Antonio's 13th Floor and Scream Hollow in Bastrop TX, gave me hands-on experience in both acting and SFX makeup, deepening my appreciation for the craft.

After 9 years as a hobbyist, I attended VAMP in Orlando, FL in 2022, launching my professional career in special effects.

02

Interests

My fascination with crime scenes and forensics sparked my interest in SFX, as it allows me to blend many of my passions and academic studies.

My love for film shines when collaborating with other creatives—there’s nothing like sharing ideas and crafting visions together to bring a story to life in the most impactful way.

Beyond makeup, I enjoy reading, writing short films, producing, video editing, and event coordination.

The “Libra” in my name reflects my connection to October's beauty, mystery, and spooky vibes, aligning with my art and personality.
